Geron Davis
Geron Davis, a renowned American musician born in Bogalusa, Louisiana in 1960, has been blessed with a musical gift from a young age. Growing up as the son of a minister, Davis was inspired to write his most iconic song, "Holy Ground," for the dedication of a new church in Savannah, Tennessee. Under pressure to meet his father's deadline, Davis sat at the piano the night before the service and poured out his heart, crafting a melody that would resonate with audiences worldwide. The song was first sung by his siblings during the church service, and its impact was immediate. "Holy Ground" went on to become a beloved classic, recorded by notable artists like Barbara Streisand and featured at significant events, including President Bill Clinton's inauguration and his mother's funeral.
Davis's collaborative work with his wife, Becky, has yielded numerous well-known songs, many of which have been recorded by prominent groups. Together, they've formed the group Kindred Souls with Davis's sister and brother-in-law, releasing the successful album "Let It Rain" in 2002. The Davis family continues to create and perform music, inspiring churches and audiences around the world from their home base in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
